Never Have I Ever

I can't take a good selfie. No matter; my make-up still looks amazing. And you know what? I didn it with a squirming toddler on my lap. People should give courses in that! (Or maybe, how to soothe said toddler so you can get ten minutes to do your makeup?)

Regardless, I don't generally wear a full face of makeup. I'm wearing foundation and concealer (!). This was a special occasion: my friend was getting married and I was a bridesmaid.

Can we talk about this foundation for a minute?

I usually have pretty good skin, I think. The kind where if I don't wear foundation to work (and I almost never do), no one really notices. For some reason, Mother Nature decided my 3 year anniversary and being part of my (first ever!) bridal party was a good time to do the time warp and bring back a little bit of acne. Perfect. Oh and did I mention it was 35 degrees plus humidity?

Enter Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation. I love this shit. It didn't melt. It didn't cake. It didn't crinkle. It makes my skin look like silk and feel completely bare while still covering any unsightly spots. I'm keeping this sucker. I seriosuly thought I'd return it, since I have two others that I almost never use, but no. I'm keeping it and you should buy one. It's worth the higher price tag.

A note on colour: I have olive skin. I'm neutral toned, but I lean more cool than warm. My natural colour is a light olive, but I never really go pale. I bought 5.5 in this and it's perfect for the summer. I haven't winter-tested it yet, but I doubt it's going to be too light.
